Rational:
Cigarette smoking harms nearly every organ of the body, causes a wide range of diseases, and represents the leading preventable cause of death in many countries [1]. It is estimated that in Israel 10,000 deaths every year are associated with tobacco use [2]. Comprehensive cessation interventions that motivate and help users to quit tobacco use can be very effective. Health care providers play an important role in supporting tobacco users and their efforts to quit [3].
